Nocturnes is a multi-media, multi genre exhibition featuring new light art sculptures, painting, photographs and poetry on the theme of time, memory and the cosmos. These minimalist works contrast natural and synthetic materials using wood, fabric, springs, magnets, lights, hardware, and found objects. These elements are a metaphor for the nature/civilization duality that makes up our human experience. For me, creating light art is a deeply personal act about bringing light into darkness and dimness and examining the ephemeral nature of reality.
