Fractures

October 4, 2019 – October 20, 2019  Edge Gallery Denver, Colorado.

The works in this exhibition are meditations on our fractured world.  As our social, political and natural environments become increasingly fragmented, fractured and polarized with the advent of the Internet, social media, logarithms, big data analytics and demographic segmentation, as well as continued plundering of natural resources, these light sculptures are personal reflections on the deep uncertainty of our current era that seems dark and unknowable. They incorporate found materials illuminated with colored light, and thus, in this time of challenging technological acceleration, these works nevertheless attempt to illuminate the darkness through contemplation.
